Vietnam stretches long and thin, so the weather changes wildly from north to south. Think cool mountains, beachy coastlines, and a bit of tropical feels in between.
March to April is ideal across the country, warm, dry, and great for sightseeing
May to October is wet season in the north and south (expect sudden downpours)
November to February is cool and misty in the north, dry and sunny in the south
The weather’s a bit like its traffic, mostly smooth, occasionally wild.

PEAK TIME
March–April and November (best balance across regions)

COLDEST MONTH
January (~10–15°C in northern areas like Hanoi and Sapa)

HOTTEST MONTH
June (~32–38°C in the central and southern parts)
