The feeling of
India is chaos and calm in one single breath.
India’s weather swings wildly from Himalayan frost to tropical sunshine, so pack for contrast and carry layers. Chilly up north, hot down south, humid along the coasts, and everything in between.
- October to March is the best time across most regions – cool, dry, and pleasant
- April to June can be scorching in the plains but perfect for the mountains
- July to September is monsoon season – lush, green, and dramatic (also wet!)
Note: The weather's mostly seasonal… unless the monsoon decides to party early or stay late.
- PEAK TIME
October–March (all major destinations) - COLDEST MONTH
January (~5–10°C in North India, near freezing in the Himalayas) - HOTTEST MONTH
May (~35–45°C in central and northern plains)
