Winter (Dec–Feb): Cool to cold—snow in the mountains, crisp in the cities
Note: Desert travel is best avoided in peak summer—heat can be extreme
Peak Time: March–May and September–November for best weather
Coldest Month: January (~5–15°C in cities; colder in the mountains)
Hottest Month: July (~30–42°C in desert and inland areas)
